Al-Catraz (not to be confused with Alcatraz!), Rapper/Producer from Bristol.  Wrote his first rhymes when he was 9 years old.



He studied for a BTEC National Diploma in Music Technology in the late nineties.



He did his first gigs in Argentina where he joined a reggea/ska/hip-hop band which he saw performing in a club.



He has gigged in many venues in London and Bristol including The Spot Bar (London), Café de Paris (London), The Thekla, Ashton Court Festival, The Louisianna, The Blue Mountain, Fiddlers (Bristol).



He is now working with KO Management who are a dynamic music production and management company based in London.



He has had numerous airplays from Steve Lamacq, Zane Lowe and Bobby Friction on Radio 1. He's had airplay by Andrea Oliver at The Selector (a radio show featuring the best in new UK music broadcasting in 15 countries) where he has also performed a live set. He was also interviewed on the Bobby Friction show – Raw Jaw on the BBC Asian Network in July 06.  He has been promoted on Pulse Rated (online/satellite radio station and download store) as a featured artist and has also been interviewed on Street Sounds with Benny Longshank.  He has also just recorded a video with Channel 4's T4 for one of his tunes 'Crossroads'.
