Citing influences from Green Day to Guns N’ Roses and Nirvana to The Beatles, KOOPA create a vibrant Indy-like, yet Punk-inspired sound, well suited for Britpop and alternative rock fans alike. Ollie Cooper [vocals/guitar], Joe Murphy [Vocals/bass], and Stu Cooper [drums] formed KOOPA in Essex, England, in 2002.

Originally called “Elastic Flange”, KOOPA have made rehearsing and performing an obsession. KOOPA have a sound, which is both commercial and anthemic without being too saccharine sweet.

KOOPA made UK Chart history in January 2007 by becoming the first ever unsigned band to have a Top 40 hit. The download-only single 'Blag, Steal and Borrow' made it into the charts at Number 31.
