Hi there!
I'm a 32 yr old singer/songwriter with a passion for serving Christ through my music.
I hope you enjoy my acoustic pop offerings......
BIOGRAPHY
Well it all started when I gave my life to Jesus at the tender age of 16 at Spring Harvest in Skegness.
Going through a church youth group system, I was sucked in to the Christian sub culture thing for many years, going to the Delirious gigs, buying the t-shirt but not really getting it. I remember going to a 'Celebration' at Wembley Stadium and not feeling what other people felt. In fact I had felt more elevation at Wembley a few years prior at the 1991 cup final.
At around the age of 21 I was given a prophesy that I would be used greatly in my music ministry but would endure much suffering.......GREAT??
I would have preferred 'You're going have a great stress free life blessing thousands just by being you'
Anyway... a couple of years later I was diagnosed as having Bipolar disorder which also has the name Manic Depression. Mentally, I suffered greatly and had quite a few years of turmoil, suffering long bouts of depression followed by short spells of Mania (A state where everything is amazing and you feel invincible, don't sleep and think everyone is going too slow).
Through this God opened up a new level of creativity in me stemming from the unconditional love and the only true consistant Rock during these times, Jesus Christ.
Having recorded an album with some young musicians, I fell unwell again and my music ministry took a back seat while I recovered, established a family and moved to North Devon. See the review at:
I started to write again and beecame a worship leader in a church in Ilfracombe.
After a couple of years here I fell unwell again with acute depression mixed with paranoia and self hatred. All symptoms of a chronic illness that has a horrible habit of putting my life on hold for long periods of time.
GOD IS GOOD though and HE has worked miracles and restoration in my life and has been a consistent force and companion throughout. I have now recovered and hope and pray that the episodes will be fewer and further between.
I really feel that God has now said 'Yes, Go for it!' and have built up a collection of around 20+ strong songs on which to base an outreach ministry upon.
I pray that God will touch people and restore them to his side and hope that my music will help in it's own little way.
